Swim team is about many things; the core three are:

Swim Team practices (min 8 per season),

Saturday meet competitions are mandatory- unless youSIGN OUT OF THE "GREEN BOOK" !!!!

and most of all HAVING FUN during the summer! If your swimmer doesn't want to practice or doesn't want to compete, then they most likely won't be having a lot of fun.

The swim team is NOT swimming lessons....

*Your swimmer must be able to complete one length of the pool without holding the ropes, if they are under the age of 8 yrs old.

*They must complete 2 lengths of the pool, if over the age of 9. Both of these being freestyle, they must be able to float on their back and kick, some knowledge of butterfly or breast stroke is helpful, but not necessary.

*Ages 13 and up, must be able to do 4 lengths of the pool on freestyle and other strokes require 2 lengths of the pool.

Eligible ages are 5-18 years old as of May 30, 2010.
